Oneplus releases its own Photo editing app - Reflexion

In another of its firsts, OnePlus has now launched a photography app called Reflexion. It has been released as an inspiration of OnePlus X, celebrating OnePlus’ latest device.

“Inspired by our latest device, Reflexion…easy-to-use photography app that explores contrasts and harmony in everyday moments. Capture your world, express your unique personality and share it with those you care about,” says the company.

The app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices. Basically, what the app does is take two photographs, one from the front camera, the other from the rear camera, and it stitches them together in an X-pattern on your screen. Like almost all other photography apps, Reflexion allows for easy sharing options of the picture on social media.

Don’t get too carried away by the fancy video though. We’re not too sure how exciting an addition Reflexion is to the app-world, especially post the song and dance of OnePlus X earlier this week. Oneplus Launches Oneplus 2 : Pricing and launch date revealed

OnePlus, the startup Chinese smartphone maker that made quite a name for itself with its first device the OnePlus One, early Tuesday launched its new flagship - the OnePlus 2. The OnePlus 2 will go on sale in India, China, the US, Canada, and select EU regions on August 11. Southeast Asia will get the smartphone in Q4 2015. The 64GB OnePlus 2 will be priced in India at Rs. 24,999 and be available via Amazon India.

The OnePlus 2 will feature a 5.5-inch in-cell display with a full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) resolution and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with an Adreno 430 GPU alongside 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB internal storage. It will sport dual 4G Nano-SIM cards (dual-SIM dual standby), as well as USB Type-C connectivity (with the cable reversible at both ends).

The OnePlus 2 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 1.3-micron sensor, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, RAW image support, and OIS, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on a 3300mAh battery, and has a fingerprint sensor that can store up to 5 prints and unlock in under 0.5 seconds. It weighs 175 grams. A 16GB OnePlus 2 with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM will be made available later this year at Rs. 22,999.

The OnePlus 2 runs OxygenOS, the company's custom OS that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and will continue to be available via an invite system - here's how you can get yours.
The company says it will be opening popup stores at 9 cities across the world - namely, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Jakarta, Milan, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, and San Francisco - on Friday. Visitors will get to try out the OnePlus 2, ask questions, and could even win an invite. The first 50 visitors will
get a gift bag. Details about the venue addresses can be found on the OnePlus forum.

Some differentiating features of OxygenOS include the ability to set app permissions; a new camera app with super resolution mode, time lapse, and slow motion; SwiftKey Keyboard; off-screen gestures; option for on-screen navigation keys; an audio tuner; a file manager, and customisability with support for icons packs, the option to adjust icon grid size, personalise the LED indicator, the choice of a Dark UI mode, and the ability to select accents.


At the VR launch event, the company also revealed some more details about the build of the OnePlus 2, and apart from an aluminium alloy frame, the OnePlus 2 features customisable capacitive keys, a hardware Alert Slider button (that switches between no notifications, priority notifications, and all notifications), and finally, the StyleSwap covers that were promised for the predecessor but never materialised. Said to be easy and fast to switch out, the covers come in four materials - Bamboo, Black Apricot, Rosewood, Kevlar. The phone itself ships with a Sandstone Black cover, like the predecessor.

Commenting on the OnePlus 2 launch, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager - India, OnePlus, said, "The future battleground for all things innovation and technology has begun and OnePlus with its latest offering is all set to lead the next generation of smartphones. India is an important market for us and our fans are sure to get their hands on OnePlus 2 simultaneously with the rest of the world."

OnePlus also revealed prices for other launch countries. In the US, it will cost $329 and $389 for the 16GB and 64GB variants respectively. In the EU, EUR 339 and EUR 399; in the UK, GBP 239 and GBP 289; in Canada, CAD 409 and CAD 479; in Hong Kong, HKD 2,399 and HKD 2,799; in Poland, PLN 1,449 and PLN 1,699; in Denmark, DKK 2,499 and DKK 2,999; in Sweden, SEK 3,199 and SEK 3,799; in Czech, CZK 9,199 and CZK 11,099; in Taiwan, TWD 9,799 and TWD 11,499, and finally in Hungary, HUF 107,990 and HUF 129,990.

We're mere hours away from the big OnePlus 2 reveal, however the next flagship phone from the upstart manufacturer has already been unveiled in its entirety by a poster over on the Android Central forums.





AC forums poster chinaleakking has outed the OnePlus 2 in what appears to be a series of professionally-shot photos of the phone. They show a handset with a metal frame, the promised fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C port and rear-mounted speakers. Power and volume keys are found over on the right, while there's what looks like a mute switch over on the left. Behind the textured back panel there's a dual SIM slot, as promised.

The poster also offers some of his own thoughts on the OnePlus 2, comparing it unfavorably with the original One because of its appearance and OxygenOS software. However the OIS-equipped camera — previously revealed as a 13-megapixel unit, allegedly works well.

Oneplus 2 : So far what we know about it.

One of the biggest triumph stories of 2014, OnePlus, conquered the mid-segment smartphone market with its feature-rich phone with top-notch specs with a reasonable price tag. With several enhancements and revisions compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus One, the OnePlus Two is probably one of the most expected Android devices of the year.

Today, OnePlus has announced the upcoming smartphone will sport a 4GB RAM. It will sport the next-generation LPDDR4 memory chips, which are also packed with Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge only, for now. No other smartphone, apart from the Asus Zenfone, in the Indian market comes with 4GB of RAM, which is required to make use of the 64-bit processor for faster operations of the next generation of apps.

So far we know that OnePlus Two will run on Snapdragon 810 chipset along with 4GB RAM. The phone will sport a 5.5-inch 2K display that will improve the viewing experience of the user. The OnePlus Two will also have a USB C-Type, the first in a flagship device by a major manufacturer. Just a few days back, the company revealed that the phone will come with a built-in fingerprint scanner.

The company has confirmed its price Will Not Cross More Than Rs 28,500. OnePlus ruled out all the rumors of the temporarily titled OnePlus Two and stated that the much-awaited device will make a debut in the third quarter of this year. Let’s wait and watch!
